Rather than giving me a list of talkgroups that he wanted to have programed in, he said he needed '4401, 4402, and 4403' along with a repeater. So I go snooping and realize that these are reflectors. I set up a TS2-TG9 channel, connect to REF4401 and pretty soon hear nothing. Well, it turns out that reflectors are not longer supported by the BM_United_States servers.
I read some more on reflectors and run across this DMR+ network. Seems like a good sort of folks, so I change my DMR Master to DMR+_IPSC2-NewYork. And again, I hear nothing! Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be a website that can even confirm that I am connecting to a talkgroup or reflector. By all indications, I am connecting to TG133 on DMR+ but I have not heard anything, nor have I had any replies.
Am I completely missing something, or reflectors pretty much not a thing anymore?
Answer :
Reflectors are not a thing on BM, but they are definitely a thing on DMR+. In North America, it looks like DMR-MARC is partnered with DMR+ in Europe to make it all work.
